About GART
The goal of GART is to encourage, strengthen and promote the vital role of art and design in all sectors of the global economy by promoting high quality instruction in visual arts and design education through professional development, research, and international dialogue and exchange.
The Association will advance its mission and purpose by: sponsoring public discussions, institutes, conferences and programs; publishing research articles, reports and surveys; and showcasing works by its members to promote worldwide best practices in art and design education.

Advance high-quality arts education through a focus on a cross-cultural approach to visual arts and design for all ages and to promote best practices in art and design instruction through international dialogue, professional development, and research.
Thought leadership
Art and design education engages students who will become our next leaders, parents, teachers, artists, and engineers. The next innovations will be shaped by these leaders who will be armed with transformational ideas across industries. These creative leaders of the future will find new and unique solutions for a constantly changing and evolving global community.
Creative Awareness
GART provides an exposure to the art and design disciplines. It helps students and educators develop an outlet for creative expression that benefits themselves and the wider global community through the exchange of ideas and exposure to different traditions and cultures.
Expansion of Creative Knowledge
Art and design education must be continually evolving and questioning with an eye to the future. GART will foster international relationships through seminars, education, global innovation contest. It will always question and seek answers to how the creative disciplines can contribute to the common global human good.
